Relaxation massage is an individual treatment that is tailored to each client at every appointment and considers their mental, physical and emotional well-being.
I use a wide variety of massage techniques, including Emmett technique, Myofascial Release (MFR), Deep Tissue and Trigger Point Therapy to achieve the best result for each client.
If you're struggling to sleep, with feelings of anxiety or simply feeling that you would enjoy some time to yourself, this massage can help you feel yourself again.
If you are struggling with limited range of movement (ROM) in specific areas, then you may wish to consider a Sports massage to target specific muscles causing inhibition of limitations to your daily movement and enjoyment.

Sports massage uses a variety of pressure (often deeper, more intense and focused than in conventional massage) to speed up an clients recovery time and help prevent injury.
Many athletes believe that a complete training programme should include not just the exercise itself, but also regular massage - by responding to aches and pains when they first appear, you can ensure that you keep training and reduce injuries and their severity.
Having a sound knowledge of the muscular and skeletal systems, helps tailor the treatment for each individual athlete. Sports massage is often supplemented by other massage therapy styles (such as Soft tissue release, deep tissue, trigger point, Emmett technique and Myofascial release). It's useful to have a variety of techniques as each client responds differently, depending on previous experiences, pain sensitivity and type of discomfort. Please feel free to ask me more!

The EMMETT Technique is a unique form of body relaxation therapy, involving the application of light finger pressure at specific points. It is based on the belief that light touch can trigger a relaxation response in the soft tissues of the body, and that the therapist may thereby help relieve feelings of tension. Many people find they feel more at ease within their body, lighter and that their emotional well-being is enhanced. The result is often instantaneous feelings of greater comfort.
EMMETT is truly a complementary therapy. It may be applied in isolation but also combines well with other modalities; chiropractic, physiotherapy, Bowen, craniosacral therapy, yoga, Pilates and personal training are some regular examples.
